Yurina Arai hails from Japan and studied at the Music High School of the Tokyo University of the Arts Faculty of Music, continuing her studies at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna. She was a multi-prizewinner at the International Jascha Heifetz Violin Competition in Lithuania, won First Prize at the International Grumiaux Competition, Second Prize at the Valsesia Musica International Competition, Second Prize at the Prague Spring International Music Festival Competition and Second Prize at the Salzburg Mozart International Chamber Music Competition. She was also a prizewinner at the Young Virtuosos International Competition. Yurina has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic, the Mihail Jora State Philharmonic, the Nagoya Symphony Orchestra and the Chubu Philharmonic Orchestra.
