Yerzhan Kushanov (29, Kazakhstan)

Yerzhan Kushanov attended the Kazakh Republic Specialized Music School in the class of Gabdulla Mukanova before proceeding to the Paris Conservatoire where he studied under Sophie Cherrier and Vincent Lucas, graduating with the Premier Prix. He won First Prize at the Republic Competition of Wind Instruments, First Prize at the International Flute Competition in Paris, First Prize at the Marcel Bleustein Competition, the Young Soloist’s Prize at the Haifa International Flute Competition, the Second Prize at the European Competition for Wind Instruments in Amiens. He has also won the Fondation Banque Populaire Prize. Yerzhan has performed in the most prestigious venues in Paris and in October 2016 was invited to perform the Generation Jeunes Interpretes concert on Radio France’s classical station France Musique
