Wenlan Jackson studied at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel with Tatiana Samouil and Augustin Dumay, at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Ivan Zenaty and Stephen Rose and at the Colburn Conservatory where she is currently a student of Robert Lipsett. She has participated in master-classes with Midori, Augustin Hadelich, Bing Wang, Robert McDuffie, David Halen, and Ilya Kaler and has attended summer schools and festivals in Aspen and Meadowmount as well as Rencontres Musicales Internationales des Graves and Smetana’s Litomyšl International Music Festival. Wenlan is a former winner of the Colburn Academy Concerto Competition and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition and has reached the semi-finals of both the Beethoven Hradec International Music Competition and The Music Centre’s Spotlight Competition.
