Víctor Martínez Jara studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León Salamanca, at the Norwegian Academy of Music and at the University of Southern California, where he remains a student under Yehuda Gilad. His teachers have included Leif Arne Pedersen, Björn Nyman, Martin Fröst, Harri Maki, Hermann Stefansson and Laura Ruiz Ferreres. Víctor has appeared with orchestras including the Oslo Philharmonic, the Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK), the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, the Oslofjord Kammerfilharmoni and the Norwegian Youth Orchestra. With his wind quintet Consonant, he won first prize in Norway’s Youth Music Championships in 2020.
