
Torleif Thedéen is one of the most highly regarded musicians in Scandinavia. He especially gained international recognition in 1985 by winning three of the worlds most prestigious cello competitions. Today Thedéen performs as soloist all over the world. As a dedicated chamber musician he has performed in venues like Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall and Concertgebouw, he is a regular collaborator with Janine Jansen and Maxim Rysanov. As a highly respected teacher he has been professor at the Royal Academy of Music, Copenhagen and now holds a position as professor at the Edsberg Academy in Stockholm.
