Tomer Ornan (28)

Tomer Ornan currently occupies the assistant principal clarinet chair at the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and has held the same position in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. He has been acting bass clarinet in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, has enjoyed an academy position with the Bern Symphony Orchestra and has freelanced with all the major Israeli orchestras. As a concerto soloist, Tomer has performed with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, the Ra’anana Symphonette and the BMSOM Symphony. He is a laureate of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Chamber Music (First Prize) and Contemporary Music (First Prize) Competitions and the ClassicWinds International Clarinet and Saxophone Competition. He studied with François Benda at the Basel Academy of Music and with Yevgeny Yehudin at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music.
