Tomasz Sierant started his music education in the flute class of Marzena Kowalczyk in Łódź, continuing with Professor Urszula Janik in the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. While still a student he became a substitute member of the Warsaw Philharmonic, also playing with Sinfonia Iuventus and occupying a flute position at the Young Polish Philharmonic. An Erasmus exchange program took him to Brussels where he studied with Carlos Bruneel, and following his graduation in Warsaw he pursued postgraduate studies with Felix Renggli in Basel. Tomasz currently occupies the Principal Flute chair at the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and is a member of the I Culture Orchestra. He has been a prizewinner at the Dutch Flute Competition and has participated in master-classes with Janos Balint, Shimizu Kazutaka, Sara Louvion and others.
