Tasmin Little

Until her retirement in 2020, Tasmin Little was one of the leading British violinists, a prolific recording artist and much loved concerto soloist and chamber musician. She is now a discerning teacher and media personality whose work in the string community and wider music world continues. In 2012, she was named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and is a Fellow of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Vice President of the Elgar Society and an Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust Foundation for Children and the Arts. She holds honorary degrees from the Universities of Bradford, Leicester, Hertfordshire and from City University in London. In 2016 she was awarded an Honorary Membership of the Royal Academy of Music and has received the Gold Badge Award for Services to Music.
