Shirley Brill

Shirley Brill studied in Israel with Yitzhak Katzap, at the Musikhochschule Lübeck with Sabine Meyer and at the New England Conservatory with Richard Stoltzman. Her career was launched when she appeared as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta. She is the laureate of the Geneva, Markneukirchen and ARD Competitions and in 2010 she represented Daniel Barenboim’s West-Eastern Divan Orchestra by receiving the Westfalian Peace Prize in Münster, Germany. She has performed at music festivals throughout the world and collaborated with artists including Daniel Barenboim, Sabine Meyer, Emmanuel Pahud, the Jerusalem String Quartet and Trio di Clarone. She regularly appears with pianist Jonathan Aner in their Brillaner Duo. She has given master-classes in Australia, Switzerland, Japan, the Czech Republic, Canada and Israel.
