Seung-Hwan Lee (27, South Korea)

Seung-Hwan Lee began his clarinet studies at Yewon School Academy in Seoul before moving to Seoul Arts High School, the Korea National University of Arts and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he joined the class of Pascal Moragues. Seung-Hwan made his debut at the Kumho Prodigy Concert Series. He frequently performs with the Ostinato Atelier Orchestra and with his own woodwind quintet, Rafiki. He is a recipient of the FNAPEC Special Award from the Korean Embassy in Paris and has twice been nominated for the yearly Jeunes Talents prize. He has performed with the Moragues Quintet at Radio France and as guest clarinetist with the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, the KBS Symphony Orchestra and the Opéra de Limoges. As a member of the Youth Orchestra of France, he has participated in music festivals throughout Europe.
