
Seina Matsuoka was born in Kobe in 1993. Among many international prizes she has been awarded First Prize at the Kobe International Competition, the Matsukata Hall Music Award, the Best Music New Star Award in the ABC Institute for Musical Advancement and Second Prize at the Munetsugu Angel Violin Competition. She has broadcast on Japan’s state broadcaster NHK and since 2014 has participated in the Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy at Okushiga. Seina is an active chamber musician in addition to her work as a soloist. She has performed with Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, the Osaka Symphony Orchestra and the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra. In Japan she studied with Professor Machie Oguri at the Soai University and she currently studies with Professor Micheal Frischenschlager at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna.
