Ruofan Min (24, China)

Ruofan Min started to play the flute at the age of eight and attended the Shanghai Conservatory of Music where he remained for six years. He was a prizewinner at the Bucharest International Flute Competition, the Elise Meyer Wettbewerb Competition and the Asia Flute Competition. Following his success in the Conservatory Concerto Competition he was invited to perform Mozart’s D major concerto with the Shanghai Conservatory Orchestra. He continued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg under Professor Björn Westlund and subsequently took up a place at the Hochschule für Musik Basel where he pursued postgraduate studies with Professor Felix Renggli. He is a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra and has performed the Nielsen Flute Concerto with the Chamber Academy Basel.
