Rafael Adobas Bayog (21, Spain)

Rafael Adobas Bayog was born in Ibiza and studied at the island’s Conservatory with Joanna Moragues and with Vincens Prats of the Orchestre de Paris. His subsequent studies took him to the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya and since 2017 he has studied with Professor Andrea Lieberknecht at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Munich. Rafael has been a prizewinner at the Theobald Böehm Competition, the Andalucía Flute Competition, the National Flute Competition of the Spanish Flute Association, the Young Artist’s Competition Ciudad de Cuenca, the Juventudes Musicales de España Competition and the Intercentros Melómano Competition. He has been a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestras of Catalonia, Eivissa and Barcelona and of the Kammerorchester Hannover. He has worked with distinguish flautists including Felix Renggli, Kersten McCall and Aldo Baerten.
