Paul Kropfitsch (18, Austria)

Paul Kropfitsch was born in Vienna and took his first violin lessons with Professor Marina Sorokova, who invited him to join her class at the Vienna University of Music. In 2014 he enrolled as a junior in Professor Anton Sorokow’s class at the University of Music and Performing Arts. Paul has participated in master-classes with Renaud Capuçon, Igor Ozim, Joji Hattori and Leonid Sorokow. He is a laureate of the Johannes Brahms International Violin Competition, won the Third Prize at the Fritz Kreisler Competition and has been placed in many more. He has performed at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Teatro la Fenice in Venice, the Mozart Hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, the Angelika Kauffmann Hall in Schwarzenberg and the Haydn Hall in Eisenstadt.
