Olivier Patey

Olivier Patey occupies the Principal Clarinet chair at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, having performed regularly with the orchestra of the Opéra de Paris and with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. As a soloist, he has worked with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a former Principal of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and was a member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. Olivier is a prizewinner of the ARD International Music Competition and himself won the Carl Nielsen International Music Competition, in 2005. He was born in the French city of Lille, studying at the conservatory there and at the Paris Conservatory with Michel Arrignon. He is involved in the Arties Festival in Mumbai as a co-founder of the Arties Records label.
