Noah Bendix-Balgley

Noah Bendix-Balgley is First Concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, which he has directed from the violin, as well as a renowned soloist and chamber musician. As a soloist, recent and forthcoming highlights include appearances with the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec, Buffalo Philharmonic, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Kammerakademie Potsdam, Verbier Festival Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. He has performed his own klezmer violin concerto Fidl-Fantazye with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and China Philharmonic. As a chamber musician, Noah performs in a trio with Robert Levin and Peter Wiley and with Philharmonix, the multi-genre septet drawn from the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestras. He is a renowned performer of traditional klezmer music.
