Nikolai Song studied at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rueil-Malmaison before enrolling at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris where he remains a student of Philippe Bernold and Florence Souchard-Delépine. He has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Orchestre National de Cannes, the Basque National Orchestra and the Barcelona Baroque Orchestra at the Pablo Casals Festival and has played as a guest flautist with the string quartet Quatuor Yako. He has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of France, has appeared at the International Prague Spring Competition and has participated in master-classes with Julien Beaudiment, Patrick Gallois and Stephanie Winker among others.
