Natsumi Tsuboi is a member of the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker where her teacher is Daishin Kashimoto. She was educated at the Tokyo University of the Arts and the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien by teachers including Pavel Vernikov, Pierre Amoyal, Koichiro Harada, Masafumi Hori and Asako Urushihara. Natsumi has performed as a concerto soloist with many orchestras in Japan, such as the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the New Japan Philharmonic and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a laureate of the Michael Hill International Violin Competition (4th prize), International Fritz Kreisler Competition (5th Prize), Tokyo Music Competition (First Prize and Audience Prize) and the Music Competition of Japan (Third Prize).
