Michael Germer (16, Denmark)

Michael Germer is a student of Professor Dora Schwarzberg at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel-Aviv University, prior to which he studied with Professor Serguei Azizian in Copenhagen. He has been awarded First Prize at a number of competitions including the International Grumiaux Competition and the Postacchini Competition, and won the Special Prize at the International Fritz Kreisler Competition. He has been a multiple prize-winner at domestic competitions in Denmark. In 2018 he was the youngest competitor in Senior Section of the International Menuhin Competition. Michael has attended master-classes with Josef Spacek, Nicola Benedetti, Hennning Kraggerud, Paul Rozeck, Almita Vamos, Milan Vitek, Alf Richard Kraggerud, Pavel Vernikov, Krzysztof Smietana and Olivier Charlier. He plays a 1720 Alessandro Mezzadri violin.
