Martha Wing Hang Chan is a native of Hong Kong. She studied at the Eastman School of Music and at Rice University and continues her studies at the Colburn School with Jim Walker. She has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Pasadena Symphony Orchestra, the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra and the Colburn Orchestra. Martha has appeared at the Verbier, Spoleto, Aspen and Sarasota Music Festivals. She is a laureate of the Donald Peck International Flute Competition (First Prize), the Colorado Flute Association Young Artist Competition (First Prize), the American Fine Arts International Concerto Competition (First Prize) and the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competitions of Vienna and London (College Category, First Prize).
