Marley Eder has won First Prize at the MTNA Young Artist’s Competition, the LFS Young Artist’s Competition and the LSU Concerto Competition and was placed Second at the National Flute Association Young Artist’s competition and the Myrna Brown Competition. He has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Eastern Music Festival Symphony and The Colburn’s Orchestra da Camera. He has given the world premiers of over 75 solo flute and mixed ensemble works and is the flautist of Hear No Evil, appearing at the Fast Forward Austin, South by Southwest and Excessive Noise festivals and performing and recorded with rock, jazz, improvisatory and world music groups. Marley pursues postgraduate studies at USC’s Thornton School of Music following studies at the University of Texas’s Butler School of Music and the Louisiana State University.
