Maria Storm Steinaa (25, Denmark)

Maria Storm Steinaa studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Toke Lund Christiansen and was admitted to the Soloist’s Class where her teachers were Ulla Miilmann and Anna Dina Schick Bjørn-Larsen. Maria is now a student at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien, Hanover. She has appeared as an assistant with professional orchestras throughout Scandinavia and in 2018 was invited to occupy the Solo Flute chair at the North Netherlands Orchestra. She has appeared with the Royal Danish Orchestra and toured with the award-winning Carion Wind Quintet. She has participated in the Carl Nielsen and the Crusell Competitions and is the recipient of a Léonie Sonning talent stipend. Maria has participated in master-classes and taken private lessons from Emily Beynon, Philippe Bernold, Mathieu Dufour, Denis Bouriakov, Vincent Lucas, Wissam Boustany and Pierre-Yves Artaud.
