Maine Nishiyama is currently a student of Ulf Wallin at the University of Music and the Performing Arts in Vienna. She has also been a pupil of Johannes Meissl, Stefan Mendl, Elisabeth Kropfitsch, Alexander Arenkow and Bojidara Kouzmanova. She has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Szeged Orchestra in Hungary, the Euro Symphony SFK Orchestra in Pörtschach and with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra. Maine is a laureate of the Vasco Abadjiev International Violin Competition (First Prize), the International Johannes Brahms Competition (Second Prize) and the Prof. Dichler Competition (Second Prize).
