Maël Marcon was born in France and studied at the Marseille Conservatory and the Lyon Conservatory under Michel Lavignolles, before furthering his education in Pascale Feuvrier’s class at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional Rueil Malmaison. He is currently completing his training at the Paris Conservatoire under Sophie Cherrier and Vincent Lucas. His is a laureate of several international competitions and has performed at venues including the Philharmonie de Paris, the Opéra Bastille and the Auditorium de Lyon. Since 2017 he has played with the Ostinato Orchestra, performed with the ensemble throughout France and beyond. Maël has participated in master-classes with some of the world’s most respected flautists including Juliette Hurel, Julien Beaudiment, Emmanuel Pahud and Michel Moraguès.
