
Lorenzo de Virgiliis from Italy studied at the Conservatorio Luisa D’Annunzio in Pescara with Professor Stefano Bellante. He has been a prizewinner at the Paolo Barasso Competition, the Benelux Competition, the City of Florence Competition, the Saverio Mercadante Competition and the Lisbon International Clarinet Competition. Having occupied the Principal Clarinet chair of the Junior Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, since 2017 he has been Principal E flat Clarinet at the Orchestre Philarmonique de Liè€ge. He has participated in training courses and master-classes with Karl Leister, Giammarco Casani, Antony Pay, Philippe Cuper, Fabrizio Meloni, Paul Meyer and Eddy Vanoosthuyse and participates in all configurations of chamber music performance. He undertook postgraduate studies at IMEP in Namur under Jean-Luc Votano and Calogero Palermo.
