
Katerina Chatzinikolau has won First Prize prize at the International Music Competition eMuse, at the National German Youth Competition Jugend Musiziert and at the International Thöne Competition. She was a finalist at the Panhellenic Young Soloist, Deutscher Musikwettbewerb and Ton und Erklärung Competitions. Katerina has appeared at the Philharmonie Köln, the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the rbb-Rundfunksaal Berlin, the Royal Theater Thessaloniki and the Beethovenhalle Bonn. She has performed with the with the DSO Berlin, the Philharmonie Südwestfalen, the Thessaloniki State Symphony, the Neues Rheinisches Kammerorchester Köln, the Neue Philharmonie Westfalen and the Cognimus Collective and is currently concertmaster of the Bergische Symphoniker. She studied at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Köln in the class of Ariadne Daskalakis, taking lessons on the baroque violin from Professor Richard Gwilt.
