Julija Vrabec (23, Slovenia)

Julija Vrabec hails from Ljubljana. She studied at the Music School and Art Gymnasium in Koper and pursued postgraduate studies with Professor François Benda at the Conservatorio Svizzera Italiana. She has been a prizewinner at the Emona, Krško and Euritmia Competitions and has won First Prize at the Carlino, Svirel and Temsig Competitions. Julija has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Ljubljana Academy of Music Orchestra and the National Theatre Orchestra Maribor. As an orchestra player she has worked with the Slovenian Philharmonic and Slovenian Radio and Television Orchestras and was a member of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra and the Ljubljana International Orchestra. She has attended master-classes with Charles Neidich, Paolo Beltramini, Sabine Meyer and Robert Spring and has performed at the Koper Biennale, the World Music Days and the Slowind Spring Festival.
