José Carlos Domínguez Almela (26, Spain)

José Carlos Domínguez Almela studied at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory in his hometown, Cadiz, before moving to the Advanced Conservatory of Music in Seville where he studied with Camilo Irizo. He then moved to the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki to study with Olli Leppäniemi and Harri Mäki. José Carlos has played with the Finnish Radio Symphony, Lahti Symphony, Finnish Chamber and Granada City Orchestras as well as the Dala Sinfonietta, Tapiola Sinfonietta and the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville. He has covered the co-principal clarinet chair at the Oulu Symphony Orchestra and has participated in master-classes with pedagogues including José Luis Estellés, Carlos Gil, Francisco José Cantó, David Calvo, Antonio Salguero, Javier Trigos, Charles Neidich, Nicholas Cox, Björn Nyman and Yehuda Gilad.
