Johan Dalene made his debut as a soloist with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra at the age of 7. He has since performed extensively in Europe and appeared in South Africa, the United States, Indonesia and China. Johan has won First Prizes at international competitions including the Kocian Violin Competition, the Giovani Talenti Competition and the Thomas and Evon Cooper International Violin Competition. In 2016 he won Third Prize in the Junior section of the prestigious Menuhin Competition, also winning the Chamber Music Award, the Wieniawski Prize and the EMCY Prize. Since 2010, Johan’s regular teacher has been Professor Per Enoksson at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. In 2017, he was accepted to Norway’s Crescendo program, which has seen him mentored by Janine Jansen, Leif Ove Andsnes and Gidon Kremer.
