Ingrid Soefteland Neset was awarded the Norwegian Musician of the Year prize before she started her professional training at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where her teachers were Toke Lund Christiansen and Ulla Miilmann. She has appeared as a soloist with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, the Trondheim Soloists and the Royal Danish Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra. She currently occupies the Principal Flute chair at the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and has made appearances as a guest principal with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Danish Orchestra. Ingrid is an active chamber musician and regularly collaborates with her brother, the jazz saxophonist Marius Neset, who has written music for her.
