
Hayato Ishibashi was born in Tokyo. He began violin studies at the age of four and made his first public appearance at six. He has worked with a number of high profile conductors including Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Benjamin Zander. He has been a prizewinner at the Yampolsky International Violin Competition, the Roldolfo Lipizer International Violin Competition and the California International Competition. In May 2015 Hayato graduated from the Masters of Music at the Codarts Rotterdam Conservatory with the highest honors after graduating with distinction from the Bachelor program. As a result he was awarded a scholarship from The Friends of Codarts Foundation and The Codarts Talent Grant. He currently studies with Anna Kandinsky in Vienna following studies with Donald Weilerstein at the New England Conservatory and Walnut Hill School in Boston.
