Gladys Avignon studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where her teachers include Sophie Cherrier, Vincent Lucas, Pierre Dumail and Nathalie Rozat. She has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Orchestre National d’Auvergne and played with orchestras including the Orchestra of the Dijon Opera, the Orchestre de Picardie and the Academie de L’Opéra National de Paris. Gladys is a laureate of the Thomas Kuti International Flute Competition (First Prize) and reached the semi finals of both the Cluj International Music Competition and the Maxence Larrieu International Flute Competition. She has performed throughout France and takes a special interest in new music written by living composers.
