Gerbrich Francine Meijer (21, Netherlands)

Gerbrich Meijer from the Netherlands is currently pursuing postgraduate studies at The Colburn School in Los Angeles with professor Yehuda Gilad, before which she graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music following studies with John Kruse. She has been a recipient of the Ian Stoutzker Prize from the European Youth Orchestra and in 2018 received the Talent Prize from the Prince Bernhard Culture Foundation in The Netherlands. She has been a prizewinner at the Princess Christina Competition, the Zilveren Vork Competition and the Haydn Music Festival Groningen Competition. Occupying the Principal Clarinet chair of the EUYO, she toured Europe under Gianandrea Noseda, Vasily Petrenko and Manfred Honeck. She has played with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Copenhagen Phil, the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Danish Orchestra.
