Gala Kossakowski was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra for the 2019-20 Season. She studied at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música Adolfo Salazar and at the Queen Sofia School of Music in Madrid. She currently studies at the Haute École de Musique de Genève under Jacques Zoon. She has occupied the principal flute chair of the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Globo Ensemble, which reached the semi-finals of the 2019 Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition. Gala has performed recitals at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona and at the Fundación Juan March in Madrid. She is a laureate of the Berlin International Music Competition (Golden Medal) and is a former winner of the Jeunesses Musicales de Cataluña Prize.
