Evgeniya Spalinger (28, Russia)

Evgeniya Spalinger was born in Moscow and studied at the Tchaikovsky Central Music College and in Basel, Lugano and Zurich. She has been a member of the Baltic Youth Philharmonic and the Orchestra of the Pacific Music Festival and gained valuable experience as an intern at the Berne Symphony Orchestra. She is a laureate of the Riddes Woodwind Competition (First Prize), the Svirel Chamber Music Competition (First Prize), the Bale-Valle Chamber Music Competition (First Prize) and the Chamber and Soloists Competition Danubia Talents. Evgeniya has given the premiers of more than 50 solo flute works by living composers and has performed with contemporary music ensembles including Ensemble Divertimenti, Ensemble Contrechamps, Ensemble Modern Frankfurt and Kymatic Ensemble. She released a recording on the Swiss label Gallo in 2013.
