
Emma Meinrenken is a Milka Violin Fellow at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studies with Ida Kavafian. Previously she studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and at the University of Toronto where here teachers included Atis Bankas and Victor Danchenko. She made her debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra in 2011. Emma has participated in the Gstaad Menuhin Festival and the Verbier Festival Academy, and appears annually at the Music Niagara Festival. She is a laureate of the Stradivarius International Violin Competition (First Place), the Stulberg International String Competition (Silver Medal) and has been a semi-finalist at the Menuhin and Stuttgart International Violin Competitions. She was awarded the loan of the 1689 Baumgartner Stradivarius by the Canada Council Musical Investment Bank.
