Anton Maiseyenka (26, Belarus)

Anton Maiseyenka was born in Minsk and took his first clarinet lessons from his father Valery Maiseyenka at the age of ten. He was a student of Professor Evgeny Petrov at the Central Music School in Moscow and later at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. He won First Prize at the TWIYCA Competition and Third Prize at the BJIMC Competition and has recorded an album of twentieth-century clarinet works. Since 2013, Anton has occupied the Principal Clarinet chair at the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Moscow Radio. He has performed recitals at St Martin-in-the-Fields in London and at the Perlman Stage at Carnegie Hall in New York and has appeared on the concert stage as a performer of his own compositions, which have also been performed in Belarus, Russia, France, Belgium, Switzerland and Japan.
