Anna Da Silva Chen studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, and has studied privately with Robin Wilson, Alice Waten and Mihaela Martin who remains her teacher. She has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Sydney, Adelaide, Tasmanian, Canberra and Göttingen Symphony Orchestras and Ensemble Apex (of which she is concertmaster) and is an Emerging Artist with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. As a chamber musician she has appeared with the Australia Piano Quartet, Omega Ensemble and the Alma Moodie Quartet. Anna is a laureate of the Vienna International Music Competition (Silver Medal), the Kendall National Violin Competition (First Prize and Audience Prize). She has been a semi-finalist at the Menuhin International Violin Competition.
