Andrei Krivenko was born in Kaliningrad, Russia, and began his flute studies at the age of six. He is currently a student at the Basel Academy of Music and has been a prizewinner at multiple competitions including the VN Tsybin Competition (First Prize), the Gnesinfest Competition (Second Prize), the Open Regional Competition of Kaliningrad (First Prize) and the Val-de-Travers Competition (Third Prize). Andrei has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Basel Symphony Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Astrakhan State Theatre Opera and Ballet. He has been a member of the Zakhar Bron Festival Orchestra and the All Russian Youth Orchestra and has participated in master-classes with Vincent Lucas, Felix Renggli, Andrea Lieberknecht, Philip Bernold, William Bennett and other.
