
Amia Janicki studied at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brussels, privately with Tedi Papavrami and at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien in the class of Pavel Vernikov. She is an artist-in-residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel under the guidance of Augustin Dumay. She has appeared as a concerto soloist with the HRT Orchestra in Zagreb, the Dubrovnik Orchestra and the Janáček Orchestra and has recorded the Enescu Quartet for the Fuga Libera label. Amia is a laureate of the International Vaclav Huml Violin Competition (First Prize and Special Prizes), the Heifetz Competition (Finalist) and the Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violinists (Second Prize). She has participated in master-classes with Shmuel Ashkenasi and been coached in chamber music by Miguel da Silva.
