Aleksi Malmberg

Aleksi Malmberg was appointed General Manager of the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018 at the age of 37, prior to which he was, in turn, Director of the Finnish Cultural Institute for the Benelux in Brussels and Head of Programming at the Helsinki Festival. Aleksi’s earlier appointments took him into the fields of orchestras, festivals, production, artist management and music publishing. He was Managing Director of the music publishing and production company Tactus, and previously worked as Managing Director of the Tapiola Youth Symphony Orchestra. In his spare time Aleksi enjoys long distance running barefoot.
