Aleksandra Zvereva studied at the Ural College of Music and the Central Music School of the Moscow State Conservatory. Her teachers have included Aleksandr Golyshev, Emmanuel Pahud, Sir James Galway, Vincent Lucas and Andrea Lieberknecht. She has occupied the principal flute chair of the Russian State Symphony Orchestra Novaya Rossiya and appeared as guest principal with the St Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and the All Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as playing in Yuri Bashmet’s ensemble Moscow Soloists. Aleksandra is a laureate of the Gnesinfest International Flute Competition (First Prize), the Cimarosa International Flute Competition (Second Prize), the All Russian Competition for Wind Players (Second Prize) and has reached the semi-finals of the International Crusell Competition. She has given recitals at the Kaliningrad and Yekaterinburg Philharmonics.
