Aleksandra Pleterski (25, Slovenia)

Aleksandra Pleterski began her education in Slovenia before enrolling at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna where she studied with Hansgeorg Schmeiser, later moving to the Paris Conservatoire to study with Philippe Bernold. She has been a prizewinner at the Krakow International Flute Competition and is substitute on 2. Flute and Piccolo at the Vienna Volksoper and at the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. As a member of the Webern Symphony Orchestra she had the opportunity to perform under conductors including Franz Welser-Möst, Christoph Eschenbach and Christoph von Dohnányi. She received a scholarship to participate in the intensive activities offered by the International Academy of Music in Liechtenstein and has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Collegium Musicum der MDW.
